The right way to live
Living slowly seems to be imprinted in my DNA.
Throughout my life I never identified with those who liked to have busy schedules and super ambitious lifestyles, which consequently demand 24 hours a day of their time.
Sometimes I felt out of place and even guilty for not wanting to do what society increasingly tells us is the right way to live: be productive all the time, always be on the lookout for a new networking opportunity, have a healthy lifestyle – no excuses, stay up to date with the events around the world.
“How can you not know that this is no longer fashionable?”.
“That it is no longer considered healthy since last week, didn’t you see?!”
And above all, be happy! Mandatorily.
Slowing down…
When I tried to give in to this lifestyle, my body and mind gave me undeniable signals that I should stop and well… I allowed myself the luxury of slowing down.
Today, I try to live a life where I am fully present in each moment, making conscious choices about my actions and truly enjoying every activity I do—from something as simple as hanging clothes on the line to diving into complex subjects of study and bearing the consequences of this way of living, whether good or not.
Embracing a slower way of living has allowed me to find joy in the ordinary and meaning in the everyday.
I hope to share ideas and connect with others who also resonate with The Slow Living Way.
